DG SPORTS DONATES SWISSWING TO GLENVILLE High School

Swisswing DonationDG Sports has donated the revolutionary Swiss therapeutic training machine, the SWISSWING, to Glenville High Schools.

This method of BMS (bio mechanical stimulation) was originally developed in Russia in the late 60's-early 70's by Professor Dr. Nazarov for their Space Program. They found that with a specific type of stimulation, the lost muscle / bone mass and strength commonly experienced during space flights, could either be abrogated to some degree with in-flight stimulation or be regained rather quickly upon the cosmonauts return to Earth.

After those great results for the Russian space program for treating the cosmonauts, they started to treat sport injuries and found that the healing process was accelerated to various degrees. It was also found that through this mechanical stimulation, the strength and flexibility of athletes increased quite substantially. Therefore, they set up a major sports / training and performance enhancement compound for the athletes of the whole former ''Eastern Block.''

After the fall of the ''Iron Curtain,'' this technology, which had up to then been kept secret, slowly became known and understood by the medical and therapeutic community in Western Europe. As Mr. Leopold (top photo, third from left) found out more about this technology, he imported some of the machines for himself to give to friends and to universities and medical clinics for rehabilitation and research.
